Lesson 3 of 5
Find sites with Suburb Search
5 min
Filter a locality by land area, zones and overlays to build a shortlist.
Suburb Search is the opposite of address search: instead of checking one site you already know, you ask the map for every parcel in a locality that matches your development criteria. Use it to build a shortlist before you do any modelling.
- 1
Open the dialog
Select "Suburb Search" in the map toolbar. A dialog headed "Suburb Search" opens.
- 2
Pick the locality
Under "Locality", type into the field (placeholder "Search localities…") and select a suburb from the list. The chosen locality appears as a chip you can clear.
- 3
Set the size band
Under "Site Area (m²)", set "Min" and "Max". This is the fastest filter for a development brief — for example a townhouse site band rather than every backyard in the suburb.
- 4
Include or exclude zones
- 5
Include or exclude overlays
- 6
Run the search
