Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This AUP protects the Platform, our users, third-party data providers, and the public interest. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, and we may report unlawful activity to authorities where appropriate.

3. Permitted use

Subject to your subscription and the Terms, you may use the Platform to:

• Search and review property and planning context for lawful due diligence and internal analysis;
• Create and manage feasibility studies, projects, and related documents for your (or your organisation’s) internal business use;
• Use map, site-attribute, and modelling tools within normal interactive use of the product;
• Use AI-assisted features on content you are entitled to process;
• Export reports and study outputs for internal use, professional discussions, or client work, provided you do not misrepresent the source, accuracy, or nature of the data (and you remain responsible for independent verification).

4. Prohibited use

You must not use the Platform to:

4.1 Abuse of data and access

• Scrape, harvest, crawl, or systematically download data, tiles, APIs, or exports without prior written consent from Land Axis;
• Use automated bots, scripts, or bulk tools to access the Platform except via interfaces we expressly provide and within published rate limits;
• Circumvent authentication, company scoping, rate limits, paywalls, or other access controls;
• Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities except with our prior written authorisation (responsible disclosure via email is welcome — see section 7).

4.2 Commercial misuse of Platform data

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw Platform datasets, bulk extracts, or map tiles as a competing data product without written authorisation;
• Build or train a competing product or service primarily by systematically extracting Land Axis data or outputs;
• Remove proprietary notices or misrepresent Land Axis outputs as certified, council-approved, or professionally sealed advice.

4.3 Harmful or unlawful activity

• Engage in any activity that violates applicable law, including privacy, copyright, consumer, fraud, or anti-money-laundering laws;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts, workspaces, or data;
• Use the Platform in a way that damages, disables, overburdens, or impairs our systems or those of our providers;
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or our staff (including via support or feedback channels).

4.4 AI features

• Use AI features to process personal information you are not entitled to process;
• Attempt to extract model weights, system prompts, or other users’ content through the AI interfaces;
• Rely on AI outputs as a sole source of truth for regulated advice without human verification.

5. Workspace and sharing responsibility

If you administer or use a company workspace, you are responsible for inviting only authorised users and for content shared within that workspace. Do not use the Platform to store or share material you do not have rights to handle. Company administrators may control membership and access; Land Axis is not responsible for disputes between members of the same organisation.

6. User responsibility for decisions

You are solely responsible for decisions, actions, or omissions you make in reliance on information obtained from the Platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Land Axis disclaims liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on Platform data or outputs, including financial loss, planning refusals, failed transactions, lending decisions, or liability to third parties. See also the limitation of liability in our Terms of Service.

7. Reporting issues

Please report to [email protected]:

• Suspected misuse of the Platform or security vulnerabilities;
• Material data errors that may seriously mislead users (we appreciate good-faith reports, though we cannot guarantee fix timelines for third-party source data);
• Privacy or account-access concerns.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action we consider appropriate, including warnings, rate limiting, content removal, suspension or termination of accounts, and referral to law enforcement. We are not obliged to monitor all use of the Platform but reserve the right to do so for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
