Lesson 7 of 7

Work the acquisition checklist

6 min

Move a site through the pipeline and clear its due-diligence items, with Land Axis answering what it can.

Once a site is worth pursuing, the Acquisition card on its property page tracks where it is in the pipeline and what is left to check before you commit. A checklist adds the standard due-diligence items; Land Axis answers the ones it has evidence for, shows what it knows on others, and leaves the rest to you or your advisers.

  1. 1

    Open the Acquisition card

Choose the property under "Properties" in the navigation rail and open its overview page, then find the "Acquisition" card. Its subtitle shows the current stage.

  2. 2

    Set the stage

Choose a "Stage" from "Not in the pipeline" through "Identified", "Due diligence", "Feasibility test", "Offer", "Contract review", "Finance" and "Settlement", or "Abandoned". Add a "Reason for the move (optional)"; it is kept in the "History" below.

  3. 3

    Add the checklist

In the "Acquisition checklist" panel, tick any of the deal flags that apply (a self-managed super fund contributing equity, foreign investors, a joint venture with the landowner), then select "Add {n} checklist items". It says how many are on the property and how many are still to add, and "Saved. Nothing new to add." once it is all in.
