Layers, measurement and map controls

Turn on planning layers, measure a site, and control the view.

Beyond the selected parcel, the map is a planning layer viewer. The "Layers & filters" panel controls what is drawn; the controls on the map itself let you measure, tilt, turn and zoom.

   Open the Layers & filters panel

   Select "Layers & filters" on the right of the toolbar. The groups depend on the state you are viewing. In Victoria they are "Planning Zones", "Planning Overlays" and "Additional Layers". In New South Wales they include "Zoning", "Development Controls", "Hazards", "Heritage", "Planning history" and "Boundaries".

   Toggle zones and overlays

   Each group is a checkbox list with a colour swatch beside each layer. Use "Select all" at the top of a group to switch the whole set on or off.

   Search for a layer

   Use the search field (placeholder "Search layers...") to filter by code or description. Matching groups expand automatically.
