Adjust the scheme

Override storeys, size, height, setbacks, coverage and garden area to test a specific design.

The generated building is the rule-driven starting point. When you want to test a design that departs from it — fewer storeys, a deeper street setback, a detached side wall — the "Adjust" section lets you override each input and see the effect immediately.

   Open Adjust

   Select the "Adjust" header in Design. The four headline figures sit at the top; the controls are beneath them.

   Use the three quick controls

   The first three controls change the shape you can see.

   • "Storeys" — "Auto", or a fixed number up to the zone's cap
   • "How much of the lot is covered" — a slider for site coverage, with the maximum in the label; above the published cap a note says the departure has to be justified in a permit
   • "Move corners" — drag the building's corners on the map (see the last lesson)

   Set the approval route

   Under "Approval route", choose "Auto", "Clause 54", "Clause 55" or "Clause 57". Routes the zone does not support are disabled and explain why on hover.
