Check the design against council infrastructure
See whether your buildings, driveway or crossover run over drains, trees or other council assets.
Before you commit to a layout, the studio can check it against council infrastructure near the lot: stormwater pits, drainpipes, legal points of discharge, street trees, footpaths and street lights. It is an early warning, not a clearance.
- 1
Find the check
With the studio open and nothing selected, the inspector shows "Infrastructure near the site". Select "Check infrastructure".
- 2
Read the results
Each kind of asset reads "Clash", "Possible clash", "Clear" or "Not checked". A clash names the asset and what it meets, for example the driveway or a building, and whether the design stands on it, runs over it or enters its protection zone. "Possible clash" means: confirm on the plan.
- 3
Understand "Not checked"
"Not checked" means "No council data covers this lot." or that more of an asset sit near the lot than one check reads. In that case it is not shown as clear, so confirm it on the plan.
- 4
Check again after you change the design
- 5
Know what it does not cover

Keep the check with the site
