Compare scenarios

Copy a study as a named variant and read the differences side by side.

Scenarios answer "what if". A scenario starts as an exact copy of the study; you change the one assumption you are testing, and the "Scenarios" sheet shows the results side by side. Scenarios and their comparison are included with Pro.

   Open Scenarios

   Open "Scenarios" from "Where this study is up to" on the "Start" sheet, or from the tabs across the study when the navigation rail is folded. With no variants yet, it says "Nothing to compare yet".

   Add a variant

   Select "New scenario" and fill in "Name the variant". Describe what changes, not the project. Select "Create".

   Read the cards

   Each scenario has a card, starting with the "Base case", showing its "Profit before tax", "Margin on cost" and "Peak debt". A card offers "Duplicate", "Rename" and "Delete", and "Open scenario →" opens it to change its figures.
